According to Pulse by Maeil Business News Korea,
Coupang Inc. announced plans to build a new sub-hub logistics facility in Ulsan, located on the east coast of South Korea, to streamline the movement of goods between its logistics centers and delivery stations.
The company held a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday in Ulju County, Ulsan, with completion targeted for November 2025. Operations are set to begin in early 2026.
This marks Coupang’s first logistics facility in Ulsan. The facility will be operated by Coupang Logistics Services (CLS), the company’s delivery arm.
Coupang is investing 55 billion won ($40 million) in the project, which will span 17,520 square meters and create approximately 400 jobs.
Once up and running, the Ulsan sub-hub will handle deliveries not only within Ulsan but also to nearby cities such as Busan and Pohang.
