According to Yonhap News,

Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, said on February 7 that it posted the record-high exports among guns (counties) in 2011.

According to Korea Customs Service, Ulju was ranked the first among 86 counties nationwide, recording $26.214 billion last year, up more than 60% from $15.806 billion in 2010.

The remarkable performance was attributable to the dramatic increase in exports of its major industries including petrochemical and chemical industries.

Southern Jeolla Province's Yeongnam-gun, which saw strong exports in ships, was ranked the second with $3.83 billion followed by northern Chungcheong's Changwon-gun, which showed strong performance in exports in machinery, with $3.593 billion.

By a region and gu among nationwide local governments, Ulsan City and Nam-gu were ranked the first with $100 billion and $33.766 billion of exports, respectively.
