Ulsan Works Hard to Cut Greenhouse Gas Emissions through Eco-Innovation Program

According to Yonhap News,

Twenty companies including KOREAZINC participated in the central government-led 4th Eco-Innovation Program that lasted for a year from last October, according to Ulsan City.

The Eco-Innovation Program is designed to cut costs for companies by conserving the environment.

Participating companies was reported to have achieved 4,486 tons of greenhouse gas emission reduction and recorded a total of 21.6 billion won in economic benefits generated from saving energy, steam, electricity and water and recycling wastes.

Another 20 companies including Geum Poong Energy will participate in the 5th project that begins from this month.

Ulsan City will provide participating companies with consulting services on how to manufacture goods in an environmentally-friendly manner, expand the use of high-efficient technology, cut greenhouse gas emissions and respond to carbon credit system.
