Ulsan Records Trade Surplus for Eight Months in a Row

According to Yonhap News,

Ulsan recorded the trade surplus for eight consecutive months with the USD 290 million in October, according to the Ulsan Customs.

Its exports and imports posted the month-on-month decline of 5.2 percent and 2.8 percent to USD 7.83 billion and USD 7.73 billion, respectively.

The city's exports of oil and automobile rose 18 percent and 1 percent on-year, respectively, while its exports of chemical products dropped 12 percent and those of ships 51 percent.

Its imports of crude oil and ore concentrates increased 7 percent, respectively, while those of chemical products fell 6 percent.

Its accumulated trade balance during the January-October period amounted to USD 2.89 billion.
