According to Yonhap News,

Out of 232 Ulsan-based small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs), 95 percent of chemical SMEs forecasted that their sales would increase next year, according to Ulsan City's SME Support Center in October.

The chemical companies' strong confidence seems to be driven by their active operation, development of new technology and products, domestic and overseas economies showing signs of recovery and cost reduction.

88.3 percent of the SMEs were reported to be satisfied with Ulsan's business environment, citing an easy access to large companies, various administrative supports and SOC.

In addition, 67 percent of them implement the five-day work week system with 86 percent of the chemical companies introducing the system.

46 percent of the SMEs said that they are squeezed by tight financing.
