Ulsan Citizens Cut 12,000 tons of Greenhouse Gas Emissions

According to Yonhap News,

Ulsan citizens who participate in Carbon Point Program are reported to cut 12,347 tons of greenhouse gas emissions in the first half of this year, according to Ulsan City.

In detail, they reduce 11,191 tons, 999 tons and 151 tons of greenhouse gas emissions in electricity, gas and water, respectively, which led to the energy saving rate of 16.6 percent.

Ulsan will offer 59 million worth-incentives to the relevant citizens.

Carbon Point Program is a greenhouse gas reduction scheme, designed to give points and incentives households, schools and public agencies in proportion to reduction of the amount consumed in electricity, water and gas. About 86,000 households in Ulsan participate in the program.
