According to Yonhap News,
The Ulsan Port Authority (UPA) provided KRW 150 million as incentives to six shippers, which contributed to increasing the cargo handling capacity of the Ulsan port last year.
Each shipper handled over 5,000 TEU (a 20ft container equivalent to 1 TEU) last year, with a more than 3 percent increase in the total cargo volume it treated from 2011.
The total cargo volume handled in the Ulsan port last year was about 372,000 TEU, up 14.8 percent from 2011.
The authority is planning to increase the cargo handling capacity of the port this year, by collecting opinions related to improving the incentive system.
