Ulsan has sent trade delegations to India, along with Busan, South Gyeongsang Province, and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).

In celebration of the third anniversary of the effectuation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Korea and India, the delegations comprising small- and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the fields of shipbuilding, plants, automobile parts, machine parts, construction materials, and electronic equipment were formed to help SMEs enter the Indian market and boost exports. The delegations staying in India until Saturday will meet with local buyers in Mumbai and New Delhi.

Six firms from Ulsan have joined the delegations; Dong Won En-Tec (submarine cable protection pipes), Roll ENG (roll forming and mold equipment), Perfect Rapid (automobile engine assembly line facilities), Sanitary Perfect Sink (sanitary sink), AMT Pacific (oil refinery facilities), and Daehwa Engineering Service (diesel engine parts for ships).

Ulsan and KITA will provide participants with meeting arrangement fees, meeting room rental fees, car rental fees, translation expenses, and 50 percent of the price of a one-way ticket (one person per company).

Mumbai, the largest commercial city and international harbor of India, is home to 52 of India’s top 100 companies, and the medicine, automobile, steel, and chemical industries are developed in the city. New Delhi, the capital of India, has excellent infrastructures and is home to the headquarters of various multinational corporations.
