(ULSAN=NEWSIS) Ulsan City announced that developing a multi-dimensional solution for inter-aural difference identification and fog reduction has been selected as the 2015 regional software convergence product commercialization project, which was organized by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and conducted by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.
The regional software convergence project is a two-year project, which is selected through public contest, to build the infrastructure for the regional software industry and develop the industry. This year focuses on projects that can increase the public’s interest including disaster control and welfare services.
The city will invest KRW 935 million in the project to develop a multi-dimensional solution for inter-aural difference identification and fog reduction to establish a complex control system based on sound and images by 2016.
When the control camera, or the closed-circuit television, acknowledges a noise, it will take the focus onto the area where the noise came from. Then, the camera will remove the fog and dust from the image to secure a clear image, which will be sent to the controller.
The city is promoting the regional software development policy with KRW 2.18 billion of investment.
