(ULSAN=NEWSIS) The Ulsan Port Authority (UPA) announced September 2 that it has selected Decatech Corporation as the preferential negotiating partner for the remaining site of the Ulsan New Port’s hinterland complex.

Decatech Corporation, an offshore plant engineering company in Gyeonggi Province, is the global leader in the chemical injection package that is used in oil drilling ships.

The company has been selected as the best small- and medium-sized company for job creation by Gyeonggi Province and as the global leading company by the Korea Industrial Complex Corp.

"We have been considering entering Ulsan for some years due to the increase of our exports. The infrastructure of the Ulsan New Port’s hinterland complex is better than any other ports. We will relocate our headquarters, technology research institution and plant in the Seoul Metropolitan Area to the Ulsan new Port’s hinterland complex," said CEO Lee Byung-Sang of Decatech Corporation.

UPA and Decatech Corporation will sign an enforcement agreement after going through negotiations on the details of the action plan.
