Seoul City said on April 18th it would hold ‘2011 Seoul Tourism Seminar’ at Wuhan on April 19th and Qingdao, China on 21st to introduce tourist information including famous tour courses, tourism products, festivals, shopping, and cultural performance.

Officials of Seoul’s associate medical institutes and cultural performance organizers will attend the seminar to offer one-on-one business consultations with local travel agencies and promote medical tourism products and cultural contents.

Also, the city plans to hold tourism seminars at Hangzhou, China in May and at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in September to focus their efforts on China and Southeast Asia.

Seoul directly attracted 6,606 foreign tourists through five Seoul tourism seminars in China and Japan.

An official of Seoul City said “the tourism markets of China and Southeast Asia have infinite potential for growth,” and added “we are committed to drawing more overseas tourists by carrying out promotional activities.”
