D-8 visas are issued to essential professionals engaged in the management, administration, production, or technology of foreign-invested companies, or to founders—and therefore holders of industrial or intellectual property rights—of certified venture companies possessing excellent technical abilities.

F-3 visas are issued to the dependents(spouse and children) of foreign nationals who hold certain types of work visas. It allows the dependents to stay in Korea and live with the primary visa holder while they are employed in the country. The F-3 visa does not permit the holder to work independently.
