Invest KOREA is the national investment promotion agency established under the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in accordance with the Foreign Investment Promotion Act. On behalf of the Korean government, we promote Korea’s investment environment to foreign investors around the world, carry out foreign-investment-related policies established by the government, and support the attraction and successful settlement of foreign companies in Korea. In 2018, we also started supporting overseas M&A and reshoring Korean companies.

The importance of attracting investment for sustainable growth amidst the global economic downturn is becoming increasingly important. The Korean government is committed to strengthening investment in six high-tech industries—semiconductor, display, secondary battery, biotechnology, future vehicle, and robotics—in order to create an ecosystem for the advanced industries of the future, foster talent for industry convergence, and carry out regulatory reform. We are preparing for a leap toward a sustainable Korea in the future. This is to ensure that Korea, an ideal investment destination, gains a competitive edge in global investment.
