South Korea will host an international summit of communications ministers from 21 overseas countries in order to share policy experiences in the information and communications sector, the local regulator said Tuesday.

The Seoul gathering for the World Information and Mobile Revolution on Wednesday will bring together communications ministers and vice ministers from Bangladesh, Brazil, Iran, Laos, Vietnam and other countries, mainly in Asia and Africa, according to the Korea Communications Commission (KCC).

During the meeting, representatives will give presentations and share views on communication and broadcasting policies in their own countries, the KCC said.

The local regulator will also hold a bilateral meeting with officials from 12 of the countries in order to cement international cooperation in the sector, it added.
