Parliamentary speakers and representatives of Group of 20 major economies opened a three-day forum on Wednesday for discussions on global safety and development issues.

   The G-20 Speakers' Consultation brings together parliamentary leaders and representatives from 26 nations and groups, including five non-G-20 members and Inter-Parliamentary Union members.

   South Korea's National Assembly speaker, Park Hee-tae, hosted a welcome dinner Wednesday for participants and their spouses at the Hotel Silla in Seoul.
