Nearly five out of 10 South Korean exporting companies expect their overseas shipments to increase in the second half of the year on growing demand from export destinations, a poll showed Wednesday.

According to the survey of 505 exporters by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), 47.7 percent of the respondents said that their exports will be larger in the July-December period than in the previous six months, while 40.4 percent said that their exports will be similar to first-half levels.
