Hankook Tire Co., South Korea's top tiremaker, said Wednesday it has been named
as official tire sponsor for two Italian motor race events.
Under the
deal with the event's organizer FG Group, the South Korean company will supply
its Ventus F200 and Ventus F207 racing tires to cars competing in the Superstars
Italy Series and the GT Sprint series, Hankook Tire said in a
statement.
The Superstars Series is for global luxury cars from Audi
AG and BMW AG, while the GT Sprint is a newly-inaugurated motor race that
features super cars such as those made by Lamborghini and Ferrari.
"We
will redouble our sports marketing efforts in order to strengthen our brand
image in Europe," said a company official.
