The City of Daejeon and Bosch, a multinational engineering and electronics company, entered into an MOU last week to increase the production capacity of Bosch's local factory.

The expansion of the Germany-based company's capacity will include production of the high pressure fuel pump CP4, a core component of diesel vehicles, at its Daejeon factory, where about 500,000 products are expected to be manufactured a year.

CP4 is an essential component for meeting the requirements of Euro V, European emission standards for automobiles. The Daejeon CP4 production line will be Bosch's first to be established beyond Europe.
