Considering the increase in foreign workers, teachers and foreign-invested companies, South Chungcheong Province plans to conduct a feasibility test to establish international schools and eventually select candidate regions for them.
According to the Korea Immigration Service, 862 foreign elementary, middle
and high school students live in the northern region of South Chungcheong Province,
includng Cheonan, Asan, Seosan and Dangjin. This is 4.8 times that of other
regions, such as Gwangju, Daegu and Pohang.
