South Gyeongsang Province is being aggressively engaged in attracting investment from Japanese companies searching for investment destination outside Japan, in the wake of the nuclear disaster that hit the country last year.
An investment inducement delegation, co-organized by South Gyeongsang and Jinju City, visited Tokyo, Japan last month to introduce their investment environments to companies eyeing Korea for investment.
About 50 Japanese businessmen participated in an investment seminar held at Roppoinggi Academy Hills in Tokyo.
They were briefed on investment incentives provided by Jinju-Sabong General Industrial Complex.
After the seminar, the delegation visited the overseas branch of Korea Trade-Investment
Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in Tokyo with Japan-Korea Industrial Technology Cooperation
Foundation, tasked with establishing cooperative relationships between companies
of the two countries, in order to discuss how to facilitate investment from
potential Japanese companies.
