North Chungcheong Province Governor Lee Si-jong signed a 100 billion won-investment agreement with W-SCOPE, a separator manufacturer for secondary batteries.

W-SCOPE will build additional production lines on a 45,000 square meter-site in Ochang Foreign Investment Zone by 2015 and increase the number of employees from current 113 to 500.

As of 2011, the Japan-based company records 47 billion won in sales revenue and 56.3 billion won in its equity.

Since July 2010, North Chungcheong has attracted eight companies with the total investment worth $1.141 billion.
