A South Korean delegation of government officials and businessmen will fly to
Yangon this week to discuss cooperation in the construction of a new airport and
seaport in the Southeast Asian country, the Ministry of Land, Transport and
Maritime Affairs said Sunday.
The delegation will stay in Myanmar for
three days starting Tuesday to meet with their Myanmarese counterparts on the
second Yangon airport project, a seaport project and other logistics
issues.
The delegation will also convey South Korea's experience in
the development of the country to help Myanmarese officials in the modernization
of the poor Southeast Asian country.
Prior to flying into Yangon, the
delegation will also visit Kuala Lumpur Monday to attend a forum on the exchange
of information in water management.
