According to Pulse by Maeil Business News Korea,
Hyundai Motor Group’s electric vehicles (EVs) continue receiving the top honors in major global safety assessments.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on Sunday that models such as the Genesis GV60, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Kia EV6 and EV9, which were all developed using the dedicated E-GMP platform, earned the highest possible rating of five stars in the Euro NCAP, Europe’s New Car Assessment Program.
In the United States, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) also commended Hyundai Motor Group for its exceptional crash test results. The GV60, Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and EV6 were awarded the prestigious Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+), while the EV9 received the Top Safety Pick (TSP). A total of 20 Hyundai Motor Group vehicles, including internal combustion engine models, have earned TSP or higher ratings in the 2024 IIHS uation, which is more than any other global automaker.
The E-GMP platform, which was launched in December 2020, is exclusively dedicated to electric vehicles.
