South Korea’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) secured $15.5 million worth of exports during a business exhibition in Europe.

The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on Sunday that 25 companies, including those in cosmetic and food production sectors, participated in a fair promoting Korean items, which was held on the sidelines of the two-day 2024 Korea Business Expo Vienna in Austria that kicked off on October 29.

At the exhibition, the companies carried out 408 consultations worth $32 million, with 10 being developed into export contracts worth $15.5 million.

“The exhibition allowed us to sign a $5 million export agreement with a buyer based in Switzerland,“ said an official from Taylor Farms, a producer of functional beverages.
