According to Yonhap News,
GS Engineering & Construction Co. (GS E&C) said Monday its Australian subsidiary has received a subway tunnel project in Australia, worth 520.5 billion won (US$373 million).
GS Engineering & Construction Australia PTY Ltd. has formed a consortium with two other companies, including Webuild Australia, to win the order from the Suburban Rail Loop Authority.
The project, valued at AUS$1.7 billion, or about 1.56 trillion won, is to build a 10-kilometer subway tunnel in Melbourne by 2035, the company said in a statement.
The Australian subsidiary of GS E&C has a 33.5 percent stake in the construction project, according to the company.
