KOTRA held the 'SmartTech Roadshow' in Hungary and the Czech Republic

On November 27, KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) announced that it, in collaboration with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MOLIT), held the '2025 Central Europe SmartTech Roadshow' in Hungary and the Czech Republic on November 25-27 (local time).

The roadshow, conducted as part of MOLIT's Smart City overseas expansion support project, featured the participation of 13 Korean companies. They engaged in activities such as the SmartTech Forum, B2B export consultations, and technology pitching.

The Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) also participated as a partner organization to discuss collaboration in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), smart cities, and robotics.

The event on November 25th took place in Budapest, Hungary, where the government is leading AI strategy policies. The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the dedicated AI department introduced local smart city projects and AI development plans, and 25 local companies and institutions held consultations.

The roadshow in Prague, Czech Republic, on November 27th featured presentations on local AI projects and market trends by the Czech Ministry of Regional Development and the Prague Institute of Planning and Development. It also included consultations between 30 local companies, such as electric vehicle charging companies, and Korean businesses.

Kim Myung-hee, Vice President of KOTRA and Head of the Innovation and Growth Division, stated, "Both Hungary and the Czech Republic aim to be AI innovation hubs in Europe and are undertaking numerous projects. We will do our best to support the actual participation of our companies in the smart tech cooperation opportunities discovered through this event."
