According to Yonhap News,
On November 27th, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced that it will hold the 'Seoul Food in Bangkok 2025' event in Bangkok, Thailand on November 26-28 (local time), aiming to support the expansion of K-food into the ASEAN market.
The 'Seoul Food' has grown into one of Asia's two major food exhibitions, alongside the Singapore Food Expo, with 1,639 companies from 45 countries participating when it was held at KINTEX last June.
The 'Seoul Food in Bangkok 2025' event will feature 130 Korean food companies and over 400 overseas buyers.
The event will include B2B exhibitions and consultations with buyers from Thailand, Asia, and Oceania, showcases of Seoul Food Awards-winning companies and export beginners, cooking demonstrations by Korean chefs, and a Han River ramen experience.
In particular, an AI-based translation system and video performance analysis system will be introduced to enhance the consultation's effectiveness. A regional special pavilion will also be operated, with 20 companies from the Jeonnam and Gangwon participating.
KOTRA President Kang Kyung-sung stated, "ASEAN is a key pillar of the Global South and a core market for expanding K-food exports. We will support this event to drive the growth of food and consumer goods exports and contribute to achieving a record-high export volume this year."
