(SEOUL=NEWSIS) The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced June 22 that it will co-host Korea-Europe Global Partnering 2015 with the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy and Korea National Ppuri Industry Center. Korea-Europe Global Partnering 2015 will be held for two days from June 23 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Participants include 53 European manufacturing companies in the automobile, machinery and aerospace sectors, including Benz, Volkswagen, Trumpf and Airbus, and 45 Korean small- and medium-sized parts and materials companies in the automobile and machinery sectors.

"The weak euro has decreased the price competitiveness of Korean products. Nevertheless, we will look for Korean automobile parts companies that produce high-quality parts to secure the supply chain in the mid- to long-term," said a Daimler-Benz official.

KOTRA will also hold the Korea Europe Technology Commercialization R&D Forum to encourage European and Korean research centers to discuss measures to promote technology cooperation.

KOTRA will sign memorandums of understanding with Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH, an aerospace cluster in Bavaria and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Europe to support Korean small- and medium-sized companies as they enter the German market and build a network of technological cooperation.
