According to Yonhap News,
(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced July 5 that Lazada, Vietnam’s No. 1 online shopping site, has opened a new section for Korean products.
It will showcase 369 products, including daily-use supplies, small household appliances, cosmetics and accessories from 36 Korean companies.
Lazada, a business-to-consumer e-commerce site launched by Germany’s Rocket Internet in 2012, is like the Amazon.com of Northeast Asia. It has the largest market share in e-commerce in Vietnam (36 percent), with 12 million users and 50 million page views a month.
Due to Lazada’s low sales commission and policy of not restricting product inventory volume, KOTRA proactively supported Korean small- and medium-sized companies so they could launch their products on Lazada and achieve maximal results at minimal costs.
Along with the opening of the new section for Korean products, 10 Korean companies have launched their products on Lazada.
