According to Yonhap News,
(SHANGHAI=Yonhap News) The Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo 2015 (KBEE 2015) was held for three days starting August 27 in Shanghai, China. The event was held in Shanghai, the former provisional government of Korea, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Korea’s liberation from Japanese rule.
A record 107 Korean companies participated in the fair, making it the largest ever. KBEE 2012 in Osaka drew 105 companies and KBEE 2014 in São Paulo drew 50 companies.
Korean corporate participants comprised potential companies in the consumer goods and contents sectors. They conducted business consultations with 500 Chinese buyers and investors, including the leading Chinese companies Tencent, Suning and JD.com.
The fair included 1,000 consultations worth USD 100 million.
"The fair aims to build a profit-driven economic Korean Wave infrastructure. Therefore, we will focus on potential export products that capitalize on the Korean Wave to encourage more Korean companies to enter the Chinese market," said Lee Min-ho, director of KOTRA’s Shanghai office.
