Date
2016.05.17

On April 26, Invest KOREA held a round table at China Week 2016 to listen to suggestions and investment plans of major Chinese investors.

In attendance were the Minister of Trade, Industry & Energy Joo Hyung-hwan, the Head of Invest KOREA, 11 potential Chinese investors from different Chinese companies and the CCPIT Chief Delegate of Korea.

Various Chinese companies, including those involved in investment insurance, e-commerce retail, food and semiconductors, attended the event and five of these companies pledged to invest KRW 200 million.

"Investment in Korea has increased rapidly based on cultural similarities between the two countries. Korea and China should aim for a win-win situation through cooperation," said Vice President Yao Dafeng of Anbang Insurance Group.

The round table proved to be effective in listening to the grievances from Chinese investors as well as finding solutions to these issues.
