Announced three finalists for “G4A Korea”, a supporting program for startups in the digital healthcare and smart farm sectors
Selected startups will receive intensive mentorship and consulting from internal and external experts and a working space for fours months
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Bayer Korea, a global bio-science company, on Wednesday (May 8) announced three startups selected in the 3rd “Grants4Apps (G4A) Korea” and held a kickoff event.
This is the third round of Grants4Apps Korea, the Korean version of Bayer’s global open innovation program Grants4Apps Accelerator which discovers and supports selected digital health technology startups worldwide. G4A Korea provides support optimized for Korea’s promising startups to develop business and enter global market through intensive mentorship and consulting based on partnership of KOTRA and Bayer Korea. A total of three finalists were selected considering technological innovation and the potential of collaborating with Bayer.
G4A Korea aims to provide practical support for domestic startups to fundamentally improve their capabilities, overcoming entry barriers of the healthcare industry. To this end, KOTRA provides additional matching with external experts in various areas, such as legal, investment, and design affairs, while helping to commercialize technology and enter overseas markets. Bayer Korea will also assign its employees as mentors to provide customized mentorship to each startup in various sectors such as R&D, clinical tests, permit, and marketing, based on Bayer’s more than 150 years of expertise and know-how in the bio-science field. In addition, KOTRA and Bayer will provide selected startups with active support in entering global markets, by utilizing global networks and programs supporting overseas expansion.
