KOTRA-KEA to operate Korea Pavilion of 78 companies at 'CES 2022'
First offline exhibition in two years...."improve achievements by strengthening prior and post management support'/span>
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Korea Electronics Association (KEA) jointly will operate a Korea pavilion, exhibiting technologies and products of 78 Korean companies during the ‘CES 2022(Consumer Electronics Show)’ held in Las Vegas for 3 days on January 5-7.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held online last year. As CES is held offline for the first time in 2 years, about 2,200 companies from around the world will be participating.
CES 2022 is the first large-scale exhibition to be held since major countries declared 'gradual return to normal life' with the expansion of vaccination. Thus, it is symbolic than any other time. The CES exhibition will be held under the main themes of △Digital Healthcare △Future Mobility including autonomous driving △Metarverse △Smart Home and △Food Tech.
Company A, specialized in a hydrogen energy solution, signed technological cooperation MOU with US Company B to work together in customer services, technological support, and post-management to expand the hydrogen infrastructure business in the US. Besides, various SMEs and startups from Korea are expected to enter the US market.

KOTRA opened the Korea Pavilion within buyKOREA, www.buykorea.org, B2B online platform, to strengthen contactless online marketing, which has been on the rise due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, it supports various online marketing in such ways as promotion of products in the Korean pavilion, uploading the pitching video by participating companies, and arranging online and offline consultations during and after the exhibition period. In particular, it will strengthen matching with buyers by utilizing TriBIG, KOTRA's trade and investment big data services.
Yu Jeoung-yeol, CEO of KOTRA, said "The CES is a good opportunity to understand future technology trends and promising industries," adding that the agency will actively support Korean companies so that they can make great achievements as it is the first offline exhibition held in 2 years since the outbreak of the COVID-19."
