K-Liquor entered 'Endeavour Drinks', Australia's largest liquor distribution network
K-Beauty entered Amazon Australia for the first time

Through the "Australia Distribution Network Entry Support Project" promoted by KOTRA (President Yu Jeoung-yeol) since last year, 3 Korean liquor companies have entered the Australia's largest liquor distribution network "Endeavour Drink", while 14 Korean beauty companies have been introduced to Amazon.

The products introduced to Endeavour Drinks are traditional Korean liquor products, such as makgeolli, soju, and raspberry wine. The products of 32 domestic liquor companies have gone through △ ingredients test △ video interviews and △ tasting, resulting in 19 products by 3 companies finally being selected. In January, the selected companies held a contract signing ceremony with Endeavor Drinks via video, and will meet Australian consumers at direct management shops of Endeavor Drinks from April this year. It is expected to receive order placement worth more than USD 1 million per year in the future.

Endeavour Drinks is one of the top five global liquor distributors along with Wal-Mart ASDA and Carrefour. It is a large company with 21,000 employees and annual sales of KRW 8 trillion, with 1,610 stores across Australia.

K-Beauty products, which entered Australia's Amazon, the No.1 E-commerce market in the region, are also attracting attention. 14 promising K-beauty companies jointly selected by Amazon and KOTRA successfully entered Amazon in December last year, resulting in achievements of exports worth USD 87,000. Depending on the local sales trend in the coming days, 'K-beauty page', a section exclusively assigned for K-beauty, will be opened in Amazon Australia this year. Kim Byung-ho, head of KOTRA's Sydney Business Center, said, "It is very meaningful in that we pioneered official direct distribution channels with a large distribution network, differing from the past when we supplied our products on and off through Asian consumer goods distributors," adding "we will keep working together with leading local distribution networks, taking advantage of the awareness of K-consumer goods on the back of K-wave."
