KOTRA expands overseas export routes through digital platform

Transition to data-based digital trading company in its 60th anniversary
Lead the digital economy by helping digital transformation of exports by SMEs and middle market enterprises


KOTRA will leap forward as 'digital trade company' enabling everyone everywhere to export by connecting 127 overseas business centers with recently built trade and investment digital platform.

By converting the way of work to data-based decision making, going beyond previous way of relying on experience, it will introduce digital platform-based export services to SMEs and MMEs with shortage of digital capability.

KOTRA will host '2022 Global O2O Business Week' with introducing new marketing method based on data and platform. This event aims to improve accuracy of buyer consultation matching by utilizing platform, provide such useful information to companies as AI promising market prediction, and live group tours for foreign buyers' online exhibition observation, and other various digital contents.

K-Materials, Parts, and Equipment Export Plaza will be held from March 17-31, participated by about 250 domestic companies and 350 foreign companies in the materials, parts, and equipment sector, including secondary battery and electric power equipment. It will include business meetings in 4 areas of materials, parts, and equipment, including △ sensors for vehicles △ carbon materials △ recycle fabric and △ equipment for industries. In particular, 'digital on-site inspection' utilizing online for domestic companies with contract approaching will be conducted to follow-up on export support.

Meanwhile, KOTRA will form 'Data Cooperation Council' with Korea Association of Machinery Industry, Korea Electronics Association, and Korea Federation of Textile Industries, to share and distribute the know-how on data-based marketing platform, and sign an MOU (March 23) to push for cooperative projects of data cooperation to support businesses to expand into overseas markets.

Yu Jeoung-yeol, KOTRA President, said, "Paradigm of trade is changing in keeping with rapidly changing global environment and digital transformation trends," adding "we will support our clients to create new experiences and values of digital transformation through 'Global O2O Business Week."
