KOTRA offered lecturers on the topics of 'Business Guide for Foreign Companies in 2022' on March 24
The purpose of the forum is to support foreign companies' maximization of business performance by reducing management risks
KOTRA held the 1st Business+ Forum at Grand InterContinental Hotel in Seoul on March 24.
It was the first forum based on the education cooperation MOU that KOTRA signed with 15 foreign chambers of commerce in Korea in early December last year. KOTRA and AMCHAM jointly hosted, while 17 other foreign chambers of commerce participated.
This forum was held under the theme of 'Business Guide for Foreign Companies in 2022' attended by about 70 participants from foreign companies and organizations. In particular, the forum was significant in that it laid out measures to minimize management risks of foreign companies invested in Korea in the rapidly changing economic environment including the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia-Ukraine war. To this end, the lecturers were delivered on the topics of legislations newly introduced or modified this year, market trends, and future business environment changes.
In his welcoming speech, Ryu Jae-won, head of KOTRA's trade and investment data division, stressed that the purpose of this forum is to "support maximization of business performances by reducing management risks through timely information provision to foreign companies in Korea." KOTRA, marking its 60th anniversary this year, also showed its new educational courses to expatriates working at foreign firms in Korea through Business +Forum. In the days to come, KOTRA plans to support business activities of foreign companies in Korea by inviting leading lecturers and covering various topics including the latest economic and industry trends.
