Hold a "K-Goods Week" at Lida Square in Qingdao, China for 9 days from Aug. 24
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister Ahn Duk-geun) and KOTRA (President Yu Jeoung-yeol) will hold a "K-Goods Week" at Lida Square in Qingdao, China, for nine days starting from August 24. This event was prepared to promote Korean consumer goods to Chinese consumers and support market expansion in cooperation with Lida Group, a leading local distributor.
The promotional event is scheduled to sell 441 products of 44 companies, including food, cosmetics, houshold goods and clothing, under the theme of "Experience Korean in Qingdao", targeting the August holiday season that attracts a lot of tourists. In collaboration with Qingdao aT logistics, a Chinese subsidiary of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), and Qingdao Trade Support Center of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, tasting and experience events will be held as well.
On site, tasting events for Ramen and Seaweed Flakes, which have long been favored by Chinse consumers, and SNS share events for snacks such as crab sticks and almond snacks will also be prepared. In addition, there will be an experience zone for infant products, in which premium products are highly favored, including hypoallergenic lotion for kids.
Kim Yoon-hee, head of KOTRA's Qingdao Trade Center, said "as Qingdao is closely located to Korea, it is highly interested in Korean culture and consumer goods," adding that "we will actively support so that Korean consumer goods expand their market in the Chinese market based on this event."
