The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister Ahn Duk-geun) and KOTRA (President Kang Kyung-sung) announced that the Korean Pavilion at CES 2025 attracted significant attention from overseas buyers.

A total of 445 domestic companies participated, making it the largest scale ever for the Korean Pavilion, which saw a steady stream of visits from key figures of global companies such as Microsoft, Nvidia, Apple, Sony, Amazon, Delta, and Bosch.

MOTIE and KOTRA actively supported marketing for the companies participating in the Korean Pavilion at CES. The "K-Innovation Pitching Challenge" held on January 8–9, organized by KOTRA, individual consultations took place between Korean companies and 21 global companies in the AI sector, including Microsoft, Walmart, and P&G, as well as in the mobility sector, including Honda Ventures and Sensata Technologies. The event also offered networking opportunities with more than 160 overseas venture capitalists and buyers, helping to discover potential clients and foster technological collaboration.

As a result of these efforts, 40 companies in the Korean Pavilion signed MOUs on supply contracts and technological partnerships worth approximately USD 30 million at the event. KOTRA expects to push forward contracts worth about USD 300 million from the CES Korean Pavilion, with the final results to be announced after compiling the performance of all participating companies.

To ensure that the innovations discovered at CES lead to exports, KOTRA will hold the "CES 2025 Innovation Forum" on Thursday, January 23, at the ASEM Ballroom in COEX, focusing on the innovation award-winning companies. The forum will include a seminar, showcase, online export consultations, and a comprehensive consulting section.

President Kang Kyung-sung of KOTRA presided over a press conference at CES on January 8, stating, "This year, Korea participated with its largest-ever presence of 1,010 companies and won the Innovation Champion Award, one of only six nations to receive this honor, significantly recognizing our innovative capabilities." He emphasized, "The Korean Pavilion saw the signing of MOUs and continued inquiries for collaboration from global companies, marking it as a highly successful exhibition. We will use all of KOTRA's resources to help turn our companies' innovations into exports."
