Video Conference on January 16 with Heads of Global Regional Headquarters and Overseas Trade Centers

KOTRA (President Kang Kyung-sung) has activated the "Export-Investment Emergency Task Force" in response to the increasing uncertainties caused by recent domestic and international crises, holding the first meeting of the task force on January 14.

President Kang leads the task force as its head, serving as the company's central control tower for expanding export and investment. The task force is organized into four key divisions closely related to expanding exports and resolving issues for companies: △ On-site issues, △ Project execution & budget, △ Response to trade environment, and △ Supply chain monitoring.

To address on-site challenges, KOTRA will consolidate its domestic and international resources. All touchpoints, including departments at its headquarters, 129 overseas trade centers across 84 countries, and 12 regional support headquarters in Korea, will work together to support the resolution of issues for export companies and foreign-invested companies. Active collaboration with the government and relevant institutions is also planned.

To expand an annual performance this year, key activities such as domestic and international export consultations and participation in overseas exhibitions will be expedited in the first half of the year. Necessary budgets, such as for export vouchers, will also be swiftly executed.

In preparation for the new U.S. administration, KOTRA will form and operate a "U.S. New Government Trade Issue Task Force." The task force will gather and disseminate information on U.S. government policies, as well as reactions from key countries such as China, Europe, and Latin America.

Companies facing export-investment challenges can contact KOTRA’s representative phone line (☎ 1600-7119 → 2 for overseas expansion and certification consultations, 3 for foreign investment consultations) or visit the website (www.kotra.or.kr).

Additionally, following this meeting, a video conference will be held on January 16, hosted by President Kang, with heads from KOTRA's 10 global regional headquarters and overseas trade centers.

This meeting will allow for detailed monitoring of local trends abroad and provide full support for export companies, companies expanding abroad, and foreign investors, including early project execution and issue resolution.

President Kang stated, "All KOTRA staff are determined to mobilize the organization’s full capabilities without wavering, taking the lead in promoting exports and investment to help restore the national economy."
