On February 18, 2025, KOTRA and the Korean Intellectual Property Office(KIPO) held a meeting at the KIPO’s Seoul office with representatives from major Korean foreign-invested companies such as 3M, Lam Research, and Umicore, as well as Officials from the Foreign Chamber of Commerce in Korea to discuss the challenges of IPR for foreign-invested companies. 

KOTRA and the KIPO plan to extend IP-based support for SMEs to foreign-invested companies starting this year. In addition, KOTRA will hold a total of 42 ‘on-site’ meetings by industry and region this year.
