On February 20, 2025, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy(MOTIE) held a Kick-Off meeting at the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry to enhance Korea’s global investment attractiveness by discovering and improving discriminatory regulations on foreign-invested companies and regulations that do not meet global standards, with the Office for Government Policy Coordination, Foreign Investment Ombudsman, Foreign Chamber of Commerce in Korea, and the Free Economic Zone Authority. 

This year, MOTIE will identify foreign investment regulations (40 cases targeted) and actively promote regulatory improvements by establishing an implementation inspection system in cooperation with the Office for Government Policy Coordination and the Foreign Investment Ombudsman and consulting with relevant ministries.
