1. Reasons for Amendment 

The current Standards on Drugs, etc. Carried on Ships includes drugs that are no longer produced and accordingly, this Amendment updates the list of drugs and newly inserts provisions to strengthen the management of drugs carried on ships.

2. Major Provisions  

 A. Update the list of drugs that may be carried on ships (Article 2 (1), attached Table 1).

 B. Newly insert grounds to carry drugs made of similar ingredients when necessary (Article 2 (3)).

 C. Strengthen the management of drugs carried on ships (Article 2-2).
