1. Reasons for Enactment

 ㅇThis Notice prohibits youth from accessing or being employed by business establishments that provide gaming services that may induce youth to engage in gambling and speculation as specified in subparagraph 5 of Article 2 of the Youth Protection Act and Article 5 (4) of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act, thereby aiming to protect youth from harmful environments that may encourage speculation, promote a favorable view of speculative acts, expose youth to gambling, or otherwise have an adverse effect on the physical and mental development of youth.

2. Major Provisions

 ㅇ Business establishments providing gaming services that are likely to encourage gambling and speculation

  -  Any game that imitates a casino business as defined in the Tourism Promotion Act

  -  Any game that imitates horse racing, bicycle racing, or motorboat racing as defined in the Korean Racing Association Act and the Bicycle and Motorboat Racing Act

  ※ Applies regardless of whether game chips can be exchanged for money or goods or whether prize money or prizes are provided.
