1. Main contents
In order to strengthen the provision of nutritional information to consumers, the revision provides extended nutrition labeling requirements in line with those of major advanced countries such as the EU, the US, Canada, Japan, and China. It also strengthens the content of warning labels to help consumers identify high caffeine foods, such as by extending the high caffeine content label from liquid foods containing more than a certain amount of caffeine to solid foods whose caffeine content exceeds a certain amount due to the use of Guarana as an ingredient. It is intended to improve and complement certain deficiencies revealed in the operation of the current system, by making reasonable improvements such as dropping the warning label “Already frozen! Do not refreeze after thawing!” for frozen foods that are intended for immediate consumption, such as ice or ice cream, and do not require thawing.
