1. Reasons for revision and main contents

The revision aims to improve and supplement certain deficiencies identified in the current system's operation. In order to change the purposes of imported products that are raw materials for manufacturing one's own products, the submission of an inspection report is required. However, for livestock products that have undergone detailed inspection and are used as raw materials for manufacturing one's own products, the submission of an inspection report can be exempted. Furthermore, regulations will be established to reduce administrative penalties, provided that such violations do not constitute grounds for cancellation according to the good importer registration standards, and that on-site sanitation assessments are conducted at least once a year with no administrative penalties or non-compliance issues in the past three years.
