Notice of Partial Revision to the Regulations on Methods and Procedures for Certification and Inspection of Manufactured Motor Vehicles

1. Reason for the Revision

To strengthen the follow-up management of electric vehicles and to improve the documents to be submitted when applying for certification of electric and hydrogen vehicles based on the Clean Air Conservation Act.

2. Main Contents

a. The revision provides that manufacturers of certain types of electric vehicles should have their own technical personnel and test facilities (Draft Article 7).

b. The revision sets a margin of error to secure reliability in the results of self-testing of the driving range of a single charge (Draft Article 29).

c. The revision improves the documents to be submitted when applying for certification of electric and hydrogen vehicles under the Clean Air Conservation Act (Attached Table 4-3, attached Form 4-2, attached Form 4-3, attached Form 15-3, and attached Form 15-4).
