1. Reason for revision

In alignment with the adjustments to product categories in Appendix 5 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Resource Circulation of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Vehicles, the product categories will be adjusted accordingly. Additionally, due to advancements in recycling technology, there is a need to update the recycling methods and standards.

2. Main contents

a. Adjustment of product categories (Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 of the draft)

1) The revision proposes the addition of common items to the recycling methods and standards, as well as reclassification of the existing product categories (1. Temperature Exchange Equipment; 3. Communications and Office Equipment; 4. General Electrical and Electronic Products) into the category of large-size products (1. Temperature Exchange Equipment, etc.) and the category of small and medium-sized products (4. General Electrical and Electronic Products), while revising each recycling methods and standards to reflect current realities (Appendix 1 of the draft).

2) It redefines the scope of the same kind of products provided in Item 1 of Appendix 2 to those in Appendix 5, as Appendix 3 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Resource Circulation of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Vehicles has been deleted (Appendix 2 of the draft).
