1. Reason for the Revision

In order to provide a sufficient rest period that allows women who have suffered a miscarriage or stillbirth in the early stage of pregnancy (i.e. within 11 weeks of becoming pregnant) to recover their health, and to consider fairness between workers and civil servants (civil servants who have had a miscarriage or stillbirth within 11 weeks of pregnancy are granted 10 days of leave), the revision aims to expand the period of leave for miscarriage or stillbirth within 11 weeks of pregnancy.


2. Main Contents

a. The revision extends the period of leave for miscarriage or stillbirth for workers who have suffered a miscarriage or stillbirth within 11 weeks of pregnancy from 5 to 10 days (Article 43 of the draft).
