1. Reasons for the Revision and Main Contents

As the Road Traffic Act has been revised to mandate the obligation of test drivers of autonomous vehicles with a temporary operating permit to undergo traffic safety education (Law No. 20375; promulgated on March 19, 2024; effective from March 20, 2025), the proposed revision sets forth the details and methods of the education courses to be taken by the test drivers of autonomous vehicles.
