Detailed standards for the designation of regional virtual convergence industry support centers (Article 2 related)

<Specialized Department> 

  A specialized department for the promotion of regional virtual convergence industries or relevant specialized departments such as software, artificial intelligence, digital content, etc., related to the virtual convergence industry, must be established according to the internal regulations of the non-profit organization. More than half of the personnel in the specialized department must meet one of the following criteria: 

  1. At least one year of experience in the promotion of virtual convergence industries, such as virtual convergence service development and commercialization support. 

  2. At least one year of experience in workforce training-related tasks. 

  3. At least one year of experience in supporting tasks related to software, artificial intelligence, digital content, etc., in the virtual convergence industry. 

  4. A bachelor’s degree or higher in software, artificial intelligence, digital content, or a related field in the virtual convergence industry. 

<Specialized Personnel> 

  Among the full-time staff in the specialized department, there must be personnel who meet one of the following criteria: 

  1. At least three years of experience in the promotion of virtual convergence industries, such as virtual convergence service development and commercialization support. 

  2. At least three years of experience in workforce training-related tasks. 

  3. At least three years of experience in supporting tasks related to software, artificial intelligence, digital content, etc., in the virtual convergence industry. 

  4. A master’s degree or higher in software, artificial intelligence, digital content, or a related field in the virtual convergence industry. 

<Facilities and Equipment> 

  In order to efficiently carry out the work for promoting the regional virtual convergence industry, the following facilities and equipment conditions must be fully met: 

  1. Office space of at least 133㎡, meeting space of at least 50㎡, and virtual convergence technology training space of at least 60㎡ (space that can be used as a training room). 

  2. Equipment necessary for supporting the development and demonstration of virtual convergence services, including devices with information processing capabilities such as computers or mobile devices, filming equipment, video output equipment, and wearable devices (HMDs, AR glasses, etc.).
